Community Guidelines
The values and rules that keep Employist a safe, respectful community.
Last updated · 15 February 2026
Employist exists to help people go from learning to earning. That only works when everyone is safe, honest, and treated with respect. These guidelines apply to every user on the Platform — students, employers, admins, and guests.
1. No fake jobs
- Every job listing must be a real, currently open role at a real company.
- Do not repost the same job across multiple accounts to game visibility.
- Do not post generic "hiring for a client" ads without disclosing the recruiting agency.
2. No fake employer accounts
- Employer accounts must be operated by an authorised representative of the company.
- Do not create fictitious companies, use stock logos, or misrepresent size or industry.
- Cloned accounts imitating another brand will be removed and reported.
3. No harassment
- Treat every applicant, employer, and Employist team member with courtesy.
- Zero tolerance for slurs, threats, sexual harassment, doxxing, or discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, orientation, ability, or origin.
4. No spam
- Do not send bulk unsolicited messages to candidates or employers.
- Do not use Employist to recruit into unrelated services, MLMs, or crypto schemes.
- Do not use scraped or purchased contact lists.
5. No misleading content
- Salary ranges must reflect the actual offered range for the role.
- Do not obscure work location, employment type (contract vs. full-time), or unpaid components.
- Do not use AI-generated fake reviews or testimonials.
6. No fee-for-application requests
- Employers may never ask candidates for money, deposits, KYC-linked account access, or "training fees" as a condition of applying, interviewing, or being hired.
- Any such request is a red flag — report it immediately.
7. Reporting process
See something that violates these guidelines?
- Click the Report button on the job, message, or profile in question.
- Choose the reason and add optional detail.
- Our moderation team reviews reports within 48 hours.
- You will be notified of the outcome if your account is directly affected.
8. Enforcement actions
Depending on severity and history, we may:
- Warn the offender with guidance on the specific rule.
- Remove the offending listing, message, or content.
- Restrict account features (e.g., disable posting or messaging).
- Suspend the account temporarily.
- Terminate the account permanently, with no refund of any active subscription.
- Report to law enforcement where a crime is suspected.
We reserve the right to take any of these actions at our sole, reasonable discretion.
9. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action against your account was in error, you may appeal within 30 days by contacting us.
